Fringe 365 Project #349
Because this picture was going to be fairly monochromatic anyway (yellow sunset), there was no compelling reason to do it in color originally, so it was done as a grayscale and run through the usual set of filters.
I appreciated not having to worry about applying color myself, because I had a slow time with Olivia and Etta. When working without good references, things go very slowly as you sit there and wait for the various things you know about your subject to gradually rise to the top of your brain. All this thinking takes time. And let’s just say that I could have spent some more time letting the picture develop like a Polaroid, but once I commit to the daily project and the clock strikes 7, there’s no going back.
