Fringe 365 Project – #285

285

Painted with Cloudpaint, the web-based MacPaint emulator.

(For some reason, Tumblr cannot display this image without pixelating it even more than it already is, so apologies for having to redirect you here!)

I am positive that Walter and William would have been super excited by the first Macintosh back in 1984 and would have ordered a couple for their lab. That’s why I thought it would be cool to paint a portrait of William in MacPaint… and then it hit me… OMFG… William Bell is Steve Jobs! Of course! (And if you’ve ever seen Steve Wozniak speak — like I just did at a conference last week — you’d agree with me that Walter Bishop is Woz!)

MacPaint was the very first art program available for the Mac platform almost thirty years ago. If you want to see what talented artists were able to do with it even back in prehistoric times, here is a collection of artwork.
