Just sharing a neat discovery: an iPad app called Poseable. If you’ve ever used Poser, DAZ or other 3D programs to compose pictures, but hated the lag and tedium of those desktop programs – and if you have a bit of patience – you might appreciate this app. It’s designed with artists in mind who are exploring different views for their subjects, and at $1.99 it’s pretty much a steal. I was able to grasp the interface in about 15-20 minutes and created this quick mockup of the Peter-in-the-lab painting I’ve just started on. (I’ve already decided on the angle of the picture, but if I hadn’t, this sure would have helped imagine the impossibilities.) Pretty cool!
