Fringe 365 Project – #221

Massive Dynamic is a multi-billion-dollar corporation responsible for research, development and production in a variety of different high-tech fields. These include, but are not limited to; weapons testing, robotics, medical equipment, aeronautics, genetics and pharmaceuticals. The company was originally named BELLMEDICS. In 1999, BELLMEDICS acquired Fleming-Monroe and officially changed its name to Massive Dynamic. Today, Massive Dynamic is a multi-faceted corporation working for the betterment of medical, communications, energy, transportation, and entertainment technology. As humanity moves boldly into the future, Massive Dynamic will be there leading the way, improving the quality of life for people everywhere. (Fringepedia)

More of a collage/graphics project than drawing, obviously. I had fun coming up with the taglines in the Massive Dynamic style, a combination of warmly corporate and vaguely threatening (just like Nina Sharp herself). ExtenzaLife and Ludic Science are “canon,” but EncompaVision and OneSeed are made up. I wish I had had more time to spend on this one, as I would have preferred to design my own logos instead of borrowing heavily from generic public-domain ones. (Then again, the generic corporatude(*) of them is sort of the point, isn’t it?) The Bellmedics and Fleming-Monroe are reworkings of actual corporate logos from the 1970s.

“Back to the drawing board!”

(*) I just invented this word
