Some of my daily projects are closely based on actual screen shots. I can only say that I stand in the shadow of giants – Fringe’s directors and cinematographers. This is a great moment from 2×20 “Northwest Passage.”
Reimagining screen shots is fun and a great way to learn what your various art apps can do. I am very fond of this style and I’ve used it a few times before. It was completely done in Sketch Club (whose lack of ultra high resolution capability is tragic – guys, please update this app) using the invaluable vector function. Not only does the vector tool make drawing backgrounds a breeze, but it’s so great for highlights and shadows which are needed to make your figures have a sense of volume.
